New Delhi: On the 10th day of the cricketing extravaganza, Bangladesh will face England at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, Wales. For the second match of the day, Afghanistan will meet New Zealand at the Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton.
The first match starts at 3 pm (IST), while the second match starts at 6 pm (IST).
Hosts England will be fighting against history when they meet Bangladesh in their Cricket World Cup 2019 league encounter. In the past, England and Bangladesh have met thrice in World Cup matches and surprisingly, Bangladesh hold a 2-1 edge.
England is at the top of the ICC charts now and will be playing with all guns ablaze. Meanwhile, Bangladesh will be playing to maintain their position in the points table.
Making use of the weekend, Afghanistan will be meeting New Zealand. New Zealand survived a dramatic late fightback by Bangladesh and pulled off a close win in their last World Cup 2019 clash while Afghanistan were at one point looking strong against Sri Lanka but their batting unit let them down during the chase as they lost the match.
Afghanistan, who are playing just their second 50-over World Cup, have lost their two games in the tournament so far but not without a fight. Both the teams will be looking to right their wrongs in the match.
