Mahendra Singh Dhoni, also known as Mahi or MSD, is gearing up to guide Indian cricket team to another victory at the 12th edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, scheduled to be hosted by England and Wales, from 30th May to 14th July 2019.
Dhoni, the 37- year old wicketkeeper batsmen hailing from Ranchi has not been seen looking back after leading India to victory at the ICC T20 Cricket World 2007 at Johannesburg, South Africa. He was highly instrumental in India’s historic World Cup victory at home in 2011 which is India’s only triumph after the 1983 World Cup. It was under Dhoni’s captaincy when Indian Cricket Team has had the maximum number of glories. His induction into the Indian Cricket team and his role as a captain has proved to be a game-changing move for the BCCI. The upcoming world cup is anticipated to be the last world cup of the “Captain Cool”.
In the upcoming world cup, the Indian Cricket team led by Virat Kohli has set huge expectations of people. The squad comprises of mostly young talents and a few veterans like MSD, R. Jadeja. It is time to see how the Indian cricket team can capitalize on Dhoni’s capabilities and experience in the upcoming world cup in England and Wales and bring glory to the country again.
