Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday congratulated four Women Hockey players of the state for making it to the 18-member squad of Indian Women’s Hockey Team for the five-match Series to be played in Kuala Lumpur.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Patnaik congratulated Lilima Minz, Rashmita Minz, Deep Grace Ekka and Sunita Lakra for finding place in the Indian squad for the Malaysia tour. Besides, the CM conveyed his best wishes to the team.
The Hockey India declared the 18-member team under the leadership of Savita Punia today.
The five-match series against Malaysia will begin from April 4.
The Indian Women’s team:
Goalkeepers: Rajani Etimarpu, Savita.
Defenders: Salima Tete, Sunita Lakra, Deep Grace Ekka, Reena Khokhar, Rashmita Minz, Sushila Chanu Pukhrambam.
Midfielders: Monika, Karishma Yadav, Nikki Pradhan, Neha Goyal, Lilima Minz.
Forwards: Jyoti, Vandana Katariya, Lalremsiami, Navjot Kaur, Navneet Kaur.
