Palembang: Shooter Deepak Kumar on Monday bagged a Silver medal in the 18th Asian Games being held here in Indonesia. This is India’s third medal at the ongoing games and second in shooting.
Deepak claimed the Silver in the Men’s 10-metre Air Rifle event with a score of 247.7 points.
China’s Haoran Yang won the Gold medal with a games record of 249.1 at the JSC Shooting Range of this port city, while Chinese Taipei won the Bronze with 226.8.
The other Indian in the event, Ravi Kumar ended at the fourth spot. Ravi had clinched a Bronze medal in the Mixed Team category of the event yesterday along with Apurvi Chandela.
