Asian Games 2018: Dutee Chand Qualifies For Women’s 100 M Finals

Palembang: India’s Dutee Chand has entered the finals of Women’s 100 m finals at the ongoing Asian Games in Indonesia. The 22-year-old player stormed into the final after qualifying the semi-finals with a timing of 11.43 seconds.

The eight day of the mega sports event has been remarkable for India. The winning spree started with India’s Fauaad Mirza bagging two silver medals in equestrian events – Eventing Individual and Eventing Team. After this, olympic medallists P V Sindhu and Saina Nehwal assured India of of two historic Asian Games medals after reaching the women’s single semi final of badminton competition.

Furthermore, India’s Women’s compound archery team defeated Chinese Taipei and reached the gold medal match. Also, India’s Men’s compound archery team reached the finals after beating Chinese Taipei. This was followed by Hima Das winning a silver at the 400m event with a timing of 50.79 seconds.
