Asian Champions Trophy: India beat South Korea to enter into semis

Muscat (Oman): The Indian Men’s Hockey Team defeated South Korea 4-1 in their fifth and final round robin match of the 5th Men’s Hero Asian Champions Trophy 2018 held here at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on Wednesday. With the win, the Indian team secured the top spot in the Pool stages and qualified for the semifinals of the tournament.

Harmanpreet Singh and Gurjant Singh scored for India. Harmanpreet scored hat-trick of goals in the 5th, 47th and 59th minutes while Gurjant Singh netted the ball in the 10th-minute of the match.

Korean Captain Lee Seungil struck the lone goal for his country.

The Indian Men’s Hockey Team will play their Semi-Final match of the competition on October 27 (Saturday).
