Amit Rohidas, Birendra Lakra among 34 players called for camp ahead of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Amit Rohidas and Birendra Lakra are among the 34 players selected by the Hockey India on Saturday for the senior men’s national camp.

The national camp is slated to begin at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Bengaluru on February 18. The month-long camp will conclude on March 18.

Hockey India has retained all 18 players in the Indian team that took part at the World Cup last December in Bhubaneswar.

The team for the 28th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup will be selected from this core group of 34 players after a selection trial is held in Bengaluru in the last week of February.

The Sultan Azlan Shah Cup tournament is scheduled to begin from March 23 in Malaysia.
