81st All India Inter University Athletics Championship: Dutee Chand creates new meet record, wins gold medal

Bhubaneswar: Dutee Chand on Tuesday won the gold medal by creating a new meet record at the ongoing 81st All India Inter-University Athletics (Women) Championship 2021-22 in KIIT University.

Dutee Chand created the new meet record in the 100m finals and qualified for the 2nd Khelo India University Games.  Madhumita Deb of in KIIT University also came 6^th in the race and qualified for the 2nd Khelo India University Games on the 2nd day of the championship.

The 4x100M relay teams of KIIT University (Dutee Chand, Madhimita Deb, Riya Kumari & Shatakshi Ray), Utkal University & Sambalpur University qualified for the semifinals to be held tomorrow.
