Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have appeared and qualified for GATE 2025 conducted by IIT, Roorkee, and the GATE 2025 Score (Normalized Marks out of 100) should be mentioned while applying. The qualifying marks as declared by the GATE 2025 Organizing Body shall be considered, which will be verified with the original GATE results by OPTCL. Any discrepancy found, the application will be summarily rejected.
Educational Qualification
- Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution or Passing of Section A and B of IE (India) in a relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
- Minimum 60 % or Equivalent CGPA.
- For SC/ST/PwBD candidates, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50%.
Age Limit
Must be 21 years but not above 32 years as on 01.03.2025. Age relaxation should be implemented as per the Government rules.
Selection Process
The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the Electrical Engineering discipline paper of GATE 2025 & Personal Interview.
Salary package
The Corporation offers a competitive pay package. During the training period, they shall be paid a stipend of Rs. 50,000/- per month. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Pay
Matrix:- Rs. 56,100 – Rs. 1,77,500 (Level EE-2) with Initial Basic Pay of Rs. 56,100/- after completion of the one-year training period.
