Indian Railway Recruitment 2023 for 238 Assistant Loco Pilot posts

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Western Railway (NWR), Jaipur has invited online applications from all serving regular railway employees of North Western Railway for filling up vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Posts under the General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) Quota.

RRCNWR is going to fill up to 238 vacancies including 120 Vacancies reserved for Un-Reserved Category Candidates with Grade Pay (Pay Level) 1900 (Level 2). The RPF (Railway Protection Force)/RPSF(Railway Protection Special Force) Personnel/Employees cannot apply for this post.

Candidates with the required eligibility can apply online for the posts till May 6, 2023. The online registration is in progress from April, 7, 2023.

Indian Railway Recruitment 2023: Salary details 

The selected candidates for Assistant Loco Pilot will be entitled to the Monthly Salary with the Grade Pay Rs. 1900 in Pay Level 2. Only Serving Regular Railway Personnel/Employees of the North Western Railway working in following Grade Pay/Pay Level are Eligible.

The Stipend admissible during the Training Period shall be Rs. 19900 (Level-2) Usual Allowance as admissible Per Month (As per RBE No. 08/2017).

Educational Qualification:

The applicants should be a 10th/Matriculation Pass With the following technical qualification.

Age Limits

The Un-Reserved Category Candidates as on 01.07.2023 should be aged below 42 Years for General Merit Candidates. Age Relaxations for Reserved Community Candidates as per the Government of India Rules.

Technical Qualification:

ITI/Act Apprenticeship Passed in Trade Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel, Heat Engine (Or)

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobiles Engineering in lieu of the ITI. The Candidates with combinations of various Trade Streams of Engineering prescribed as above to be considered for Employment on the Railways in terms of Board’s Instructions contained in RBE no 162/2001 Dated 20/08/2001 subject to the provisions contained in the Board’s Letter No. E(NG)II/2005/RR-1/8 Dated 28/08/2014 and 30/09/2015.

Selection Process

Selection of applicants will be based strictly in order of Merit. Those shortlisted in the Computer-Based Test/Written Examination would be called in to appear for Document Verification.
