The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released the notification for 5,500 Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2026.
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has commenced the application process for the recruitment of 5,500 constable posts in the state police force. The organization aims to fill up vacancies for male constable (general duty), female constable (general duty), and male constable for Government Railway Police (GRP) with this recruitment drive.
Eligible candidates can apply for the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2026 from today that is January 11, 2026 till January 25, 2026 through the official HSSC website.
Haryana Police Constable vacancy details
As per the official notification, a total of 5,500 constable posts for male and female candidates under general duty and posts for male candidates under the Government Railway Police will be filled. More details regarding the vacancies is available in the notification available on the HSSC website.

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant should have successfully completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. Also, they must have studied either Hindi or Sanskrit at least up to the matric level. Candidates must have qualified the HSSC Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group C to be allowed to apply.
Age Limit
According to the notification, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and the maximum age 25 years, as on 1st January 2026.
Age relaxation is available for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Haryana government rules.
Selection process
The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages. Candidates will first be shortlisted on the basis of their CET Group C scores.
These aspirants will then be invited to undergo the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) where their height and chest will be measured against the standards laid down. Those who pass the PMT will be given the Physical Screening Test (PST) which will involve a running test.
