GPSTR Recruitment 2026: The Karnataka School Education and Literacy Department has released a notification for Graduate Primary School Teacher jobs on August 12. The application process for the recruitment will start from August 18.
The recruitment drive includes 15,000 vacancies with Graduate Primary Teacher (GPT), Assistant Master (AM), Primary School Teacher (PST), Physical Education Teacher (PET), Computer Science Teacher (CST) posts. This will recruit teachers for government primary and high schools for the 2026-27 academic session.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have 12th, Diploma, Degree, graduation from recognised board or Institution.

- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit:
- General: 21-40 years
- 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B: 3 years’ relaxation (up to 43 years)
- SC/ST: 5 years’ relaxation (up to 45 years)

- General & Backward Class: Rs 750
- SC, ST & PwD: Rs 500
Selection Process:
- Competitive Written Examination (Computer-Based Test)
- Physical Efficiency Test / Physical Standard Test (for Physical Education Teacher)
