The Defence Research and Development Organisation Scientist Recruitment 2026: DRDO has opened their vacancies for 33 scientists from various grades such as C, D, and E.
Interested candidates can read the eligibility criteria and apply through the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) portal at rac.gov.in.
The organization is looking for experienced professionals who can contribute to defence research and the development of advanced technologies.
People who get selected for the post will have the opportunity to work on projects related to national security and indigenous defence capabilities.
The application form for the DRDO Scientist Recruitment 2026 will be closed by June 19.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University with 60% marks.
Age for Scientist grade D or E must be 45 or less age and for C it should not exceed more than 35 years of age.

Candidates need to be mandatorily of Indian nationals.

Application fees:
- Candidates from General, OBC and EWS males have to pay a total of Rs 100 in online mode.
- The fees is non-refundable non-transferable.
- There is no application fee for SC/ST/Divyang and Women candidates.
Selection process:
- For final selection, its mandatory for the candidate to appear for the final personal interview before the independent Selection Board at RAC, Delhi. The interview will be conducted in offline mode on a scheduled date.
- The selection purely depends on the merit of marksthe candidates have scored in personal interview that will be conducted.
- The candidates to be selected for the post must score a minimum of 75% marks out of 100 in interview only.
- The interview schedule for the same will be provided through RAC website.
- All decisions in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application shall be final and no inquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or his/her agency.
General instructions:
- Candidates will be shortlisted for final personal Interview on the basis of the information provided by them in their online applications.
- Candidates must ensure the information provided by them is correct. If at the time of interview or at any subsequent stage, any information given by them or any claim made by them in their online application is found to be false/ incorrect, their candidature will be rejected and they may also be debarred either permanently or for a specified period from appearing in any future selection activity conducted by RAC.
- The number of vacancies may vary.
- Translation ambiguity, if any, will be resolved to the English version of the advertisement
- The period of experience claimed like date of joining/date of leaving/current job status should be easily verifiable from experience certificates/documents uploaded.
- In support of suitable level of experience, Valid salary proofs shall only be uploaded.
- Under ‘Ex-serviceman’ category, in case age relaxation is being sought then the candidate must ensure that the age relaxation under Ex-serviceman category has not been claimed previously and relevant Declaration as per format available upon candidate’s login at RAC website is required to be uploaded for the same.
- Applicant must clearly mention details of relatives presently working in DRDO, if any.
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
