- A Diploma or Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Coaching from one of these institutes:
- Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS)
- Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior
- Central Sports University (UGC recognised)
- Any other approved university, including those in Bihar
