Woman survives after lying flat between tracks as train passes over her
Bystanders looked on in horror as a woman miraculously walked away from the terrifying incident in Bihar's Sasaram with just a small scratch to her head.
A woman has had a miraculous escape in Bihar’s Sasaram after she fell in between railway tracks moments before a high-speed train passed over her, and the video capturing the ordeal has since gone viral on the internet.
The woman is said to have fallen accidentally onto the tracks whilst a train was arriving at speed into the station.
Having no time to climb back up to the platform, she made a life-saving choice and kept absolutely still in between the railway lines as the train rushed overhead.
Onlookers looked on in horror as the woman lay flat on her stomach between the rails, whilst multiple coaches passed over her at a very high speed.
It was feared that all would be lost as the last coach passed, railway officials and commuters rushed over.
They were astounded when she got to her feet, having suffered just a small scratch to her head.
The news has spread like wildfire on social media networks, and countless users have described the woman’s ability to survive the traumatic experience as a miracle.
They have praised the woman’s presence of mind and said that if she had panicked, the story could have been very different.
Railway officials have, once again, warned passengers to be vigilant at railway crossings and avoid crossing tracks anywhere else, whilst safety experts have stated that lying in between the tracks should never be used as a means of protection unless it is the absolute only option.
