Woman Orders iPhone 12 Pro Max Through Online, Gets Apple Flavoured Yoghurt Instead

In a tragic incident, a woman received apple flavoured yoghurt drink instead of an apple iPhone 12 Pro Max in China. The woman had ordered a high-end iPhone via online but when she received the order she found a drink inside the box.

According to a post on micro blogging website Weibo, a woman named Liu had purchased an Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max worth $1500 (Equivalent to Rs 1.10 Lakh) through Apple’s official website. She had opted for a delivery at the parcel locker of her residence instead of receiving it in person.

However, when Liu opened the delivery box she was shocked to find an apple drink instead of the smartphone. On being inquired, both Apple and the courier delivery service company have claimed the delivery of iPhone 12 Pro Max.

But Liu denied the claims by the smartphone company and the delivery partner company. She even posted a picture of the contents of the box on Weibo. Later she filed a case about the incident in the local police station.

In the age of online shopping, such frauds have become quite common throughout the world. However, it is the first instance where a customer was deceived after placing order on product’s official website.
