A video has gone viral on the internet in which is seen making obscene gestures at her from another coach during her travel between Bolpur Junction and Dankuni.

A train ride on the Vivek Express turned uncomfortable for content creator Rupali Dixit. While traveling between Bolpur Junction and Dankuni, she says a man started making obscene gestures at her from another coach.

Dixit didn’t stay quiet. She pulled out her phone, recorded him, and posted the videos on X. One clip shows the man looking at her and making inappropriate gestures while she stood at the coach door.

She wrote, “Today I was travelling in Vivek Express when I stood at the coach door, this guy behaved badly and gave me signs.”She mentioned the man was in the second general coach of the 15228 SMVT Express, near the engine, and was heading toward Dankuni Junction.

The videos went viral fast. People online praised Dixit for speaking up and called for action. Many said women shouldn’t have to feel unsafe on trains.

Indian Railways responded quickly. Their official handle replied that her complaint was registered on Rail Madad and a complaint number was sent to her phone via SMS.

Users welcomed the quick reply. Some said it shows why reporting matters. Others pointed out that this case shows why trains need better surveillance and stricter punishment for harassment. One thing’s clear: cameras and social media are making it harder for creepy behavior to go unnoticed.
