Watch: Muslim Man singing Mahabharat’s iconic title track, video viral

Since the pandemic strike in early 2020, a complete lockdown was imposed by the government which gradually brought issues regarding mental health stability in every individual. In the midst of this, an Indian national Television channel took a beautiful initiative and telecasted the 1988 drama ‘Mahabharat’ for the second time in 2020. The act was to help people learn good virtues and adapt positivity during crucial times.

Although the show revolves around a Hindu epic, it is not limited to only a particular religious’s viewers. Therefore, the video of a Muslim man singing the title track of Mahabharat did not come as a shock to netizens. But it still managed to win hearts because of its unique rendition.

The video was shared by Dr. S Y Quraishi, the former chief election commissioner of India, on his Twitter account on Monday. In the video, an elderly man can be seen singing a beautiful rendition of Mahendra Kapoor sung BR Chopra’s epic mythological show.

Celebrating the unity in diversity, the man melodiously performed the iconic introduction of the show ‘Mahabharat Katha’. He sang the whole song without even pausing for the interlude in between, his version also added the some adlibs which have been winning hearts over the internet.

Dr. Quraishi uploaded the video with the caption, “Beating the stereotypes!”

The video has garnered so much appreciation from netizens, as the comment section is filled with positive remarks. With more than 1k retweets the video is going viral over Twitter and other social media platforms.
