Pratapgarh: A drunk man was spotted sitting in the middle of the roads of Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh during heavy rain and had a narrow escape after a truck knocked him down . A video has gone viral on social media.
The incident took place in front of a police booth on August 29.
A journalist named Ranvijay Singh shared the video on X to report the incident online and wrote, “In front of the police post, a rowdy sits in the middle of the road (translated from Hindi).”
In the video, the man was seated in the middle of the road and was knocked down by truck driver. His chair was hit by the vehicle, leaving him falling on the road. The truck hit him and went away.
Regardless of the truck hitting him, the man didn’t move an inch from his position. He sat on road amid heavy vehicular movement. He toppled down on the ground and his chair fell apart. He rested himself on the road without the fear of being crushed by vehicles on the route.

After the video has gone viral, the police took the later, identified As Ajay into custody and the police officer Shiv Narayan Vaishya, informed that the man was drunk, and his family members claimed that he was mentally challenged. Ajay was handed over to his family, as reported by India Today.
