In a shocking incident, a leopard was hit by a car and got stuck under its bonnet. Since being shared, the video has taken the internet by storm.

IFS officer Susant Nanda took to his Twitter account on Monday to share a video showcasing a leopard getting hit by a speeding vehicle on a busy highway. While sharing the post he wrote, “Wild & painful. Heartbreaking. Nothing can be more distressing than seeing our wild getting destroyed due to linear infrastructure…”

Soon after Susant shared the video, Twitteratis flocked to the comment section to show their concern over the dreadful incident. Although the post did not reveal what happened to the canine after then, people were eager to know if it is okay.

However, today, the IFS officer shared an update on the incident by sharing a clip that shows that put everyone’s worries to rest. In the short video, the leopard can be seen escaping to the wild as soon as the car makes a reverse.

“Many wanted to know as to what happened to the leopard. Here it is. Bruised, but managed to escape the impending death. Efforts on to locate & treat the injured one,” read the caption in the post.

The clip has garnered more than 30k views so far and tons of comments. While some were relieved knowing that the leopard was fine and had returned to its habitant, others expressed their anger at the apathetic nature of the government toward animal safety.

One person wrote, “Now I am bit relaxed” and another comment read, “Glad he is ok ..forest areas should have speed limit and warning sign for lookout.”
