Watch: Fire fighters rescue puppy from rubble in Ukraine, reunite it with owner in viral video

The Russia-Ukraine war has been going on for more than a month now and is getting worse day by day. Thousands of people in Ukraine has lost their homes and were injured during the constant shelling by the Russian army. However, amid the chaos a small hopefully story has emerged and is enough to restore hope.

The Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Gerashchenko, took to his Twitter account to post a video showing few firefighters rescuing a puppy trapped under the rubble of the bombed city of Donbas. The clip begins with the men digging up the area filled with a pile of sand and broken bricks from a destroyed building, and rescued the puppy.

The video ends on a happy note as the rescued canine was seen reuniting with his owner, who also escaped severe injuries after the bombing.

While sharing the video Anton wrote, “A village on Donbas was shelled by Russia and a puppy was under the debris. Rescuers were able to save him and give him back to the owner (who himself narrowly escaped death from shelling). Rescue services work 24/7 doing the hardest work and saving lives.”
