In Russia, a retired elephant circus stands for several hours as her partner collapsed and passed away. They shared a deep and emotional bond with each other while staying in the circus. The moment was captured in a video which has gone viral, showing the depth of grief and emotional connection between the two animals.
According to the sources, the name of elephants were Jenny and Magda. They have been performing together in a circus for more than two decades. Jenny passed away recently after she collapsed, Magda was with her at that time and she refused to let veterinarians near her for several hours, instead she stayed close to her hugging her.
During the first few minutes when the incident happened, Magda slightly pushed her trying to lift her up, and then she hugged her. Magda bid goodbye to her friend by hugging her for several hours.
The video has got more than 5 million views on X. In the clip Magda was trying to wake Jenny up by patting with her trunk and foot. She then rubbed Jenny’s body, unwilling to accept the loss and staying close to her for several hours. She didn’t let anyone come near the body.
This heartbreaking clip deeply moved the viewers, with many comment. One user wrote that other than humans elephants are the only other mammals who carry out burial service. While another wrote that this clip made her cry. A third user wrote how elephants actually share deep emotional bonds, and this video is an example of that.
While another commented about how both the elephants showcase deep pure love, and this clip shows how they have been taking care of each other in their entire lives.
