A dramatic incident occurred on the Delhi Metro when a man did not vacate his seat for female passengers, leading to an angry exchange. The incident, recorded on camera, has gone viral on social media, leading to some entertainment and controversy over the man’s behaviour.
The man is seen sitting comfortably in his seat, loudly proclaiming to other passengers that he’s being disrespected by the ladies. One lady playfully repeats his claim, and the man’s theatrics are the focus of attention. “Oh ladies, bhaiya ki insult ho rahi hai yahape”, he said. In a teasing manner, a woman echoed to say, “Ohoooo”. As the train nears his destination, the man stands up from his seat, only to be sarcastically requested by the women to stay seated.
The guy says he is getting down at his stop, but the ladies make fun of him, inviting him to sit back. He is retorted to with theatrical arm movements, uttering, “It’s my wish, I’ll do what I want.” One lady reproaches him by saying, “You have caused a commotion in the whole coach, cannot you remain composed for some time?”
The video brought forth a debate online, as some condemned the man for refusing to give the women his seat, while others did not blame him for any wrongdoing. Other men even let women have their seats as an act of politeness, yet this man thought otherwise. This has been talked about, as many commented about the man and the women regarding his actions.
