Watch: “Baby Dinosaurs” running on a beach, leaves Internet confused

In today’s viral video, a group of “baby dinosaurs” running on the beach has left social media users confused.

In the video, the creatures look like young long-necked dinosaur species, sauropods, racing in the beach. Where some Twitter users are confused over the 14-seconds-clip, many were quick to point out that it wasn’t a group of dinosaurs but in fact Coatis.

Shared on Twitter by Buitengebieden, the caption on the post reads, “This took me a few seconds.”

A user cleared the confusion by explaining that it is actually a group of Coatis and gave a description of these creatures. The user wrote, “Coatis, also known as coatimundis, are members of the family Procyonidae. They are diurnal mammals native to South America, Central America, Mexico, and the southwestern United States. The name “coatimundi” comes from the Tupian languages of Brazil, where it means “lone coati.”

So far, the video has garnered more than 13.5 million views and tons of comments. A user commented on the post, “That is so good. Lol. Took me a few too.”
