Watch: Video of mother elephant trying to save calf from drowning in river
We all know how strong a mother’s love is and the extent they will go for their kids. This is not only limited to humans, but animals of all species cherish this emotion. In the now-viral video, such a picture of the bond between a mother and child can be seen. The clip showcases a mother elephant saving her calf from drowning in the river and is worth watching.
Shared on Twitter by IFS officer Parween Kaswan, the video shows a herd of elephants crossing a river. While others went over very easily, an elephant calf from within the herd could be seen struggling in the water bed. Thus, its mother stood behind to help the baby jumbo cross the river without getting drowned in the strong currents. The mother struggled to save her offspring as the baby kept wobbling. However, soon enough, she was able to get hold of the calf’s trunk, and both of them exited the river safely.
The caption in the post reads, “Mother elephant saving a calf from drowning is the best thing you will see today. The video was shot near Nagrakata in North Bengal.’

Now a days it’s very risky to share natural places and such precious things on social media directly or indirectly . People start asking place address to visit and start harming natural places. #savenature #saveplanet
