The now-viral video shows a mother and a father celebrating their son's 10th results even though he scored only 35 percent

Every parent wishes for their children to score good in exams. While some use strictness when it comes to their studies, others lure them with promises of giving them something of their desire. It is all for the betterment of their kids, and to make education a priority. However, some parents often fall into greed and forget prioritizing their kid’s happiness over grades. As a result, they rebuke even at 80 percent marks. Amid such normalization, a parent’s heart touching gesture for their son who scored only 35 percent marks in his 10th board exams, is winning hearts online.

In the now viral video shares on Twitter by IAS officer Awanish Sharan, the clip shows the parents celebrating their son’s marks instead of reprimanding it as he passed his 10th board. They can be seen feeding him sweets and pampering him a lot.

While sharing the post Awanish wrote in Hindi, “A class 10th student from Mumbai secured 35% marks in the examination. But instead of being sad or angry, his parents celebrated his success.”

Reportedly, the child, identified as Vishal Ashok Karad, graduated his 10th (SSC) examination with great difficulty. This is why his family celebrated as if he topped the board exams. He scored 35 in all subjects.

According to media reports, Vishal lives in Thane, Mumbai and has studied 10th standard through Marathi medium. His father is an auto rickshaw driver, and his mother is a divyang who works as a house-to-house maid. The father struggled a lot to get the child educated. He wanted Vishal to pass so that his dream would come true. He said that Vishal’s 35 percent marks are also very important for us. He has made us proud by passing the exam. In future, Vishal wants to make a career in engineering.

This video went viral as soon as it was posted on Twitter. Within a few hours, it had been viewed more than 3 lakh times. However, not everyone is happy with the parent’s gesture as they advised them to not reprimand their child everytime. Meanwhile, many shared love emojis for the parents to keep children out of stress. One user wrote, “Not everyone touches the sky, but no one is less by not touching it.”
