Video of tiger chasing safari jeep in Jim Corbett National Park goes viral: Watch

A video of an angry tiger charging at a safari jeep has surfaced online, the clip has netizens' hearts jump to their mouths

For years, humans have been invading the natural habitat of many species, either by cutting down the forest or by hunting to show off their power. Either way, people have forced their way to the jungle, which is home to various wildlife beings. Now, a video of an angry tiger chasing safari jeep that has surfaced online, shows that these wild creatures are not very amused by the interference of humans in their world, or what’s left of it.

Shared on Twitter by IFS Susanta Nanda, the short clip shows an angry tiger growling and threatening the tourists sitting inside a safari ride. As the tiger charges at them, the tourists can be heard panicking and asking the driver to reverse the car.

The video is purportedly from Uttarakhand’s Jim Corbett National Park.

The caption in the post reads, “Striped monk gets irritated. What will you do if at every designated hours people crash into your house as their matter of right?”

Since being uploaded, the clip has amassed more than 23.8k views and tons of reactions from netizens. While some had their hearts in their mouths, others called this video “intrusive” and “oppressive”.

One person wrote, “Heart attack moment” and another comment read, “Disgusting.” A third user commented, “Researchers/public should stop coming and going…..” and a fourth said, “Jungle safari should be banned for the crowd.”

Here are a few more comments:

“I guess the woman shouting was in the right state of mind than the people who were trying to be brave”

“These safaris are the main reason why tiger numbers are increasing. They provide jobs to locals who would otherwise be against wildlife. Also, generate funds for many welfare activities. Tiger populations are healthiest in most visited parks in India..”

“They also need space.”

“Humans need to be more sensible and respect the space of wildlife habitats.”

“Jungle safari and safari in many national parks have become so easy for the general public to afford & avail. Whereas, it is a violation of the sanctuary of animals. A place where animals are meant to live free without human intervention.”

“Too intrusive and oppressive.”
