Video of Stray Dogs Mauling 4-Year-Old in Bengaluru Sparks Debate on Safety

Bengaluru: A chilling video showing a four-year-old girl being attacked by a pack of stray dogs in Bengaluru has gone viral, triggering widespread debate on social media over child safety and the stray dog menace.

The clip was shared by popular X account ‘Ghar Ke Kalesh’ about half an hour ago and has already garnered nearly 6,000 views. It is captioned: “Heartbreaking: A 4-year-old girl was brutally attacked by a pack of stray dogs in CQAL Layout, Sahakarnagar, Bengaluru. Bitten on face, hand & leg. Video shows the dogs chasing & mauling her until locals rescued her.”

The footage shows the child walking on a road when a pack of dogs chases and attacks her. The dogs are seen dragging the girl before locals rush to the spot, forcing the animals to flee. The child sustained injuries to her face, hand and leg and was rescued in time. It can clearly be seen that if the locals had not rushed in time, the dogs would have killed the girl.

The incident has sparked heated discussion online. One user wrote, “Now everyone will start looking for dog lovers just to abuse them… but nobody will question who sent such a small child alone on the street? Where are her parents? I just hope the little girl recovers quickly.”

Another countered, “People blaming the parents for this incident should have some shame. This can happen to anyone when you’re alone against 6–15 stray dogs attacking at once… Stray dogs needs to be in shelter not on road.”

Others questioned, “Why don’t these dog lovers adopt them? Dog lovers outnumber the dogs… will these municipal department make shelters and take them there or what’s the case.”

A fourth user said, “Oh dear god that poor poor child, hope she recovers soon. An animal attack is a traumatic experience, I wish the child wasn’t unattended, feral hungry dogs need to be fed and sterilised.”
