Unique Procession: Baraatis Dance Under Tarpaulin Despite Heavy Rains in Indore, video wins internet

Wedding requires months of planning and is the busiest thing you can imagine. Considering how difficult wedding planning can be, accepting the proposal first looks like the simpler option.

So, if a wedding is cancelled or delayed, it is incredibly upsetting to see all your hard work for nothing. That is not what the hosts want to happen.

This was demonstrated to be true in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where a video that surfaced on Twitter showed a wedding moving forward despite severe rain. The video has gained a lot of attention on social media.

The baaratis can be seen moving along while being covered by a sizable sheet of water-resistant fabric known as tarpaulin. Undeterred by the rain, some enthusiastic attendees can also be seen dancing on the street.

The procession is being led by a wedding band, whose members are playing upbeat music.

Many Twitter users have reposted the video, which has garnered thousands of views.

“It happens only in India,” one user said. “No matter what the situation is, we will take the bride,” another remarked.

Other users discussed if the baarat could be organised in a more effective way. However, several of them praised the baaratis spirit.

According to local media reports, the wedding took place on Tuesday in Indore’s Pardesi Pura area. The weather was dry when the procession began, but it abruptly began to rain when it had travelled half the distance.
