A Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) was suspended after a video of him slapping and assaulting a man on a moving train went viral over the internet.
According to reports, the accused TTE, identified as Prakash, allegedly assaulted the man on board the Barauni-Lucknow Express, between Gonda and Baranbanki in Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, an official of North-Eastern Railway said to The Indian Express, “The youth never complained about the said incident. But after the video went viral, senior officers took cognizance of the incident and the TTE was suspended. He was posted at Lucknow Junction. An inquiry has also been ordered against the accused TTE. More details will come out in the probe.”
The viral video shows the accused TTE Prakash repeatedly slapping a male passenger. Meanwhile the victim is seen asking the TTE why he is assaulting him and is heard saying that he has a ticket.
Reacting to the incident, the official handle of Divisional Railway Manager, Lucknow Division, North Eastern Railway tweeted, “The concerned TTE has been suspended by the competent authority and an inquiry has been initiated.”
A few days ago, Indigo passenger slapping a pilot. Now, video surfaces of TTE on Barauni Lucknow express slapping passenger. Does TTE have right to slap passenger (if ticketless travel, throw the law book.. not assault the passenger) . Impunity of power over aam aadmi?… pic.twitter.com/anYbj1Twrx
