It was sent for atmospheric studies and it carries an instrument weighing approximately 1000 kg. He added that, a notice had been issued last month by the facility where it had been informed that a research balloon will be sent.

As per reports, with the help of this balloon, atmospheric sounding graphs can be drawn, which will help in calculating the temperature, pressure, humidity, and wind speed at different altitudes. It will also help in predicting weather.
