Snake catcher rescues 13-foot king cobra from Andhra palm oil plantation

A 13-foot-tall King cobra entered an oil plant of a farmer named Saidarao near Ghat Road, DD News Andhra tweeted in Telugu. According to the channel, the snake was by the farmer on May 8, Sunday.

As per the reports, Saidarao called  Eastern Ghats Wildlife Society and talked to a snake catcher, Venkatesh. He provided him with all the information and the member of the society reached the plantation.

The man cunningly caught the cobra, and put it in a gunny bag. He later released it in the Vantlamamidi forest area.

In recent years, a lot many cases of encounters between venomous snakes and humans have come to surface.

In July, last year, a 15-foot cobra was caught from Narasimpuram village in Coimbatore by Tamil Nadu’s forest department. Later, the snake was left in the Siruvani forest area.

Similarly, in June 2021, a king cobra was sighted in Himachal Pradesh. The forest department revealed that it was the first time the snake was sighted or documented in the state.
