Scientists Explain How ‘Spiders’ Found On Mars Are Formed

Scientists have been leaving no stones unturned to search for life and water on Planet Mars for a great period of time. In a major breakthrough, now they have found new physical evidence of black arachnid-looking splodges appear on the surface of the red planet.

A study by researchers from Trinity College in Dublin explains the mystery and physical evidence of spiders which are a byproduct of shifting seasons of Mars and formed by the sublimation of CO2 ice.

According to Scientists, the species resemble tree branches and fork lightning and are not found on Earth. They are only exclusive to the surface of Mars and are formed when dry ice changes directly from solid to a gaseous state in spring.

The Spiders are also known as the Araneiforms, the strange-looking negative topography radial system of the dendritic troughs.

Dr Lauren McKeown’s experiment shows that these Spider patterns are thought to modify the polar landscape on Mars.
