Rs 2124 for tea: ‘Middle-class’ man’s dream of tasting luxury tea at Mumbai’s Taj Hotel comes true, Watch video
The luxury hotels like Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace is generally considered out of reach for middle-class people. However, it remains as many people’s dreams to experience the luxury treatment at such places once in their life. A middle class man has finally made his dream of experiencing sipping tea at the Taj Mahal Palace has come true. The man has shared about his experience via a video on Instagram. The video is getting ample attention on the internet. It has already received over 20 million views.
The video was shared by a user named Adnan Pathan. The video starts with the man outside the The Taj Mahal Palace and starting his journey. He showcases the hotel’s grandeur interior which seems like a picture straight out of a palace filled with shinning marble floors, jazz instrument, chandelier, osh sitting area, carpeted stairs and what not. The halls are filled with ornate décor and walls adorned with photographs of celebrities who have graced the premises.
Admiring the interior of the luxury hotel, the man stated, “Ye Taj andar se itna khoobsurat hai ki mujhe lag raha tha main kisi raj mahal mein aagya [The Taj is so beautiful from the inside that I felt like I was in a royal palace],” he remarks with awe.
Then he shows how he ordered a “Bom Hi-Tea,” which is priced at Rs 1800. The luxury tea comes with a lavish spread of delicacies such as vada pav, grilled sandwiches, kaju katli, khari puff, and butter. The total bill for the tea including taxes comes at Rs 2124.
Despite the grandeur, Pathan candidly rates the tea as “average,” giving it a 5 out of 10.
At last he concludes his experience as one should experience such things once in their life time and says, “Zindagi mein aesa experience ek baar zarur karna chahiye.”
