A rare white owl revered as the vahana (vehicle) of Goddess Lakshmi was found on the golden peak of Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple
In a rare sighting in the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, a white owl was spotted at around 10 pm on Monday perched on the golden peak of the temple. The video is spreading like wild fire with many calling it a divine indication.
The rare white owl perched on the golden spire of the temple and disappeared the next morning. The CEO of the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple shared the incident on Facebook and wrote, “As received on WhatsApp, after Shayan Aarti, white owls have been seen on Baba’s peak, which is considered a symbol of auspiciousness.”
As per mythological beliefs, owls are considered as the vahana of Goddess Lakshmi responsible for wealth, prosperity and fortune. A white owl is a symbolic representation of purity and divinity because of its colour.
The devotees found a deeper divine meaning and believed it was the presence of Maa Lakshmi. Some others believed Baba Vishwanath has himself sent the owl to indicate his presence and protection.
Several users online have also shown their happiness and hailed the Goddess for the auspicious indication. The video has been widely circulated and has raked in over 3000 views on X within hours of publishing.
