Indonesia: A shocking wave of MMS leaks involving high-profile stars has sent the entertainment industry reeling. The latest victim, however, is Indonesia’s Lydia Onic, a gaming personality, whose leaked viral video appears to be spreading like wildfire across social media.
Though sources can’t confirm whether she is Onic or not through independent verification, many presume the woman in the 12-minute clip that’s been making rounds online is actually Onic. She has more than 1.1 million followers on Instagram, and besides being a gaming persona, she is also an ambassador for the brand ONIC.
Now, amidst all this, Onic posted a picture on her Instagram Story but kept mum over the alleged leak.
This is the second controversy with another Pakistani TikTok star that has been on all the news recently. Imsha Rehman recently faced trolls due to a leaked video of her, and many believed that she was seeking attention through that video as well.
Rehman seems to refer to the incident in her TikTok bio writing, “Jab tak video viral hai maine ne ID off kar di hai, which translates to “Till the time video is viral, I have deactivated my account”.
The latest scandal erupted in the month of October involving Minahil Malik, who suffered through an intimate video leaked online with her boyfriend, drawing mixed reactions. Some said it is the publicity stunt by her while others support her.
Pakistani actor Mishi Khan criticized Minahil Malik without naming her saying that she wanted fame through extreme measures. She compared it to a scene from the Kareena Kapoor starrer Bollywood movie Heroine.
Such incidents have pointed out the increasing trend of MMS leaks aiming at stars and online social influencers, the debates questioning the matters of privacy, consent, and responsibility online.
