Massive 9-foot python found in car bonnet, viral video sparks wide spread panic
9-foot python found in car bonnet in Ajmer, rescued by Snake Helpline; residents advised to exercise caution to avoid such incident.
Recently, a huge 9-foot python was found in a car bonnet in Ajmer, sparking mass panic. The python had crawled into the bonnet of the car and was retrieved safely after hours of effort from a Snake Helpline employee, a voluntary snake rescue and conservation organization.
As the weather heats up, snakes are moving out of their dens more than normal, and encounters with humans are increasing. The rains we have experienced in the past weeks are likely a cause for this increase of snake activity, because the snakes are forced to find new resorts due to this modified setting. People in Ajmer have been advised to be careful, especially in areas where snakes are known to occur. Upon rescue, the python was returned to its habitat, an area where it would not be close to human activity.
