A heart-touching video has recently gone viral on social media where we can see a man is performing Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to save a monkey. The video was posted to Twitter by a user named Thiruselvam, a senior Reporter of New Indian Express, and the post has so far earned huge numbers of likes, re-tweets and quotes tweets.
We can see in the video that the man is trying to save the monkey which is lying unconscious. As he could not save the monkey by pumping its heart, he then performed CPR and finally the monkey started breathing. The man has become a hero and netizens are all praise for him.

As per reports, a 38-year-old man named Prabhu from Perambalur of Tamil Nadu, a car driver, found the macaque with injuries lying unconscious on a tree in Kunnam taluk on December 9 as a herd of dogs had bitten it. However, it had managed to climb a nearby tree but fell unconscious.
The man drove away the dogs and rescued the monkey from the tree. He took the monkey on his two-wheeler with his friend to a veterinary hospital for treatment.
However, while they were yet to reach the hospital, the man felt the monkey gradually losing its breath. They stopped the vehicle and the man started pumping the monkey’s heart. As it did not work, he tried to resuscitate it by breathing into its mouth. Fortunately, after two three attempts the monkey started breathing.
Prabhu said, “I was scared when the monkey climbed the tree with injuries and fell unconscious. I rescued it and gave water. But it did not drink and I was very upset. I did not want to leave it in the forest in that condition. I did not think about anything, but breathed into its mouth,” reported The Indian Express.
Reportedly, Prabhu then admitted the monkey to the hospital, where it was given vaccine and glucose. Later, he handed over the monkey to the forest department. The monkey was said to be eight months old.
