He is not terrified that he is holding a huge reptile. Like we normally do, he is rubbing the snake so that if there is any dirt that gets washed away with the water. He is rubbing the snake and the very next moment he also is rubbing his head and face. It means he is very much comfortable taking bath accompanied by an anaconda.
