A viral clip has created outrage in Mumbai after a pet dog was found sitting in a car that had halted on a busy road. The incidence took place in Lokhandwala market, where a red hatchback was parked in the center of the road, creating traffic jam. A husky dog was seen peacefully sitting in the driver’s seat of the locked car.
The video, uploaded to Instagram by @andheriloca, depicts a person walking up to the car and discovering the dog sitting quietly, looking out of the window. The number plate of the car was blurred in the video. The post’s caption was, “Car parked right in the middle of Lokhandwala Main Market, causing major inconvenience. Shockingly, a pet dog was left sitting on the driver’s seat. This kind of careless and irresponsible parking deserves the choicest of punishment.”
The owner of the car is not known, it has also not confirmed the authenticity of the video clip. Reactions on social media were quick, with most people condemning the inconsiderate parking and arguing that the owner must be punished. Some have also mentioned that the practice is more common in Mumbai, where individuals park anywhere and have clogged up traffic. No official word as yet has come from local authorities.
