‘Hauntingly beautiful’ Anand Mahindra shares AI video of a girl ageing

The possibilities are endless when it comes to Artificial Intelligence. It has become a big part of our lives. From writing essays to creating stunning art works AI never lets us down. Now another AI-related post that has caught the attention of many which was shared by Industrialist Anand Mahindra. Where it shows how a girl ages from 5 to 95.

The video shows, a little girl’s transformation into a woman and then she ages gracefully into an elderly woman. It shows a little girl, aged five, gradually transforming into a 95-year-old woman. As the girl grows her clothes also changes to a South Indian traditional colourful saree.

While sharing the video, Anand Mahindra wrote, “Received this post of a sequence of portraits generated by Artificial Intelligence showing a girl ageing from 5 years to 95 years. I won’t fear the power of AI so much if it can create something so hauntingly beautiful….and human.”

The video was created by Ruben Hassid using AI tools Midjourney and Runway. He said that his goal was “to see the effects of ageing using AI.”

The AI-generated video has gone viral on Twitter. The clip has been viewed more than 3.25 lakh times. Twitter users were too impressed with the clip and shared a variety of responses.

The video has also sparked a debate about AI’s future, with some people surprised by its potential and others concerned.

One user wrote, ”It’s beautiful and awe-inspiring, and a reminder not to get too carried away and lose grasp of reality.”  Another commented, ”This is Indeed Haunting..if the future is AI, it should still be highly regulated.”
