Maharashtra: In a first of its kind, two women doctors who are lesbians have decided to openly declare their love for each other in Nagpur of Maharashtra.
They sealed their love towards each other in a ‘commitment ring ceremony’ in Nagpur last week and took vows to spend their lives together as a couple.
One of the women doctor, Paromita Mukherjee said, “We call this relationship ‘lifetime commitment’. We are planning our wedding in Goa,”
The doctor also went on to say that, “my father knew about my sexual orientation since 2013. When I told my mother recently, she was shocked.”
“But she later agreed because she wants me to be happy”, added Paromita Mukherjee.
