7-foot-long python gulps chicken and vomits in Odisha’s Balasore
The python was rescued from Oupada area of Balasore district and later released to a lonely place in the jungle into its natural habitat.
Balasore: A 7-foot-long python snake has been rescued in Balasore district of Odisha on Sunday. The snake had gulped a chicken which it vomited after rescue.
As per reports, the snake had sneaked into the cow shed of Nityanand Mohanty of Daripokhari village in Badapokhari, Oupada block. The family members were shocked to see it.
After getting information, the locals reached the spot and informed the forest department officials and snake catchers to rescue the snake.

It was seen that the snake was a python of seven feet long and had eaten a chicken. The chicken vomited it there. A crowd gathered to witness the snake.
Later, the forest department officials released the snake into its natural habitat in a secluded area of the Kuldiha forest. The snake rescue team leader noted that during the rainy season, snakes often venture into human habitats in search of food. The team advised people who have been bitten by snakes to seek medical attention from doctors rather than sorcerers, emphasizing that the government provides free treatment for snakebites.
