A 3000 year old statue has a QR code like structure at its head part. It is not clear whether it is actually a QR code or not. However, in the photo a QR code like image is clearly seen.

The photo of the statue has gone viral. Many people crowded the place to witness the photograph.

It is to be noted that these days QR codes are frequently used to pay money and its use has been seen in the last 10 years. Hence, it is mysterious to see how come a QR code was there in an object that is 3000 year old.

Secondly, it may be possible that people of that time were technically sound. Of course, it has also been discussed whether it is really a QR code or something else which is resembling like that.

Whatever may be, the image where the QR code like structure is seen has been shared on Facebook and within a short time it has earned a lot of views.

Facebook user ‘Mysterious World’ shared the photo and captioned it as, “Ancient Mayan statue has QR code on its face.” Posted on December 8, the post has already earned 16k views along with 2.5k comments and 2.8k shares merely within these three days.

In the caption the user has claimed it as a QR code while the statue has been claimed as one of the ancient Mayan time which used to exist in Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and Yucatan Peninsula around 1500 BC.
