14 kids in one autorickshaw: UP cop stops overloaded vehicle, imposes fine
A shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi where 14 schoolchildren were found packed into a single autorickshaw, prompting a police stop
Uttar Pradesh: In a bizarre incident that left everyone shocked, a cop in Uttar Pradesh in Jhansi stopped an autorickshaw loaded with 14 schoolchildren. The small three-wheeler was jammed with children, with three kids sandwiched beside the driver and 11 more packed into the back. The officer’s amazement is justified, it doesn’t happen every day you catch a car meant for a few people crammed with a miniature army of schoolchildren.
As the situation unfolded, the police officer ordered the students to step down from the autorickshaw. In a somewhat hilarious and chilling moment, an onlooker counted the kids as they climbed out of the vehicle. It was captured in a video taken by an observer, and that has now made the rounds in social media platforms.
Fortunately, the kids were safe, but the driver got a challan for his inventive, if not quite safe, solution to the school run this morning. Looks like this autorickshaw driver interpreted the phrase ‘school bus’ a little too literally.
