Youth missing, 3 people suspected of killing him in Sonepur of Odisha

Sonepur: There has been allegation of murder after abduction of a youth in Sonepur district of Odisha, said reports on Thursday. The road has been blocked demanding the arrest of the accused persons.

The missing youth has been identified as Surath Naik of Phulachara village that comes under Birmitrapur Police Station of Subarnapur district. The villagers have blocked the main road of Birmaharajpur square demanding the accused to be arrested. This has led to a traffic jam. Police has detained two people and is investigating the matter with the help of the scientific team.

According to the information, Surath is missing since last night. Surath’s sandal has been found in the sand dune of Hariharajor along with some marks in the sand. Surath’s family filed a complaint in the police station stating their suspicions of him being kidnapped and murdered. However, the police is yet to find him. It has been further alleged that he was killed and then the body has been hidden to destroy all the evidence. It is suspected that three people of the village have their involvement in the crime. The villagers are reportedly demanding justice. They want Surath to be traced soon as well as the criminals to get arrested.

UPDATE: The body has been found in a well by the Biramaharajpur police. This well was in a dilapidated condition in Phulchara village, said latest reports in this regard.
