Yet another shameful incident of gangrape attempt has come to the fore from Udala of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district as a minor girl managed to escape by kicking three youths.
Baripada: Yet another shameful incident of gangrape attempt has come to the fore from Udala of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district as a minor girl managed to escape by kicking three youths.
According to reports, the minor girl along with two minor boys had reportedly gone to a forest side for a sightseeing on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima yesterday.
In the meantime one of the boys went to attend the nature’s call while the other minor boy was standing along with the girl. Taking the advantage of the their loneliness, three youths who were passing through the same route asked the boy, who was with the girl, the reason of their standing in the forest area.
When the boy informed them that the other boy had gone to attend nature’s call, they (the youths) asked him to go and call his friend.
As soon as the minor boy went from the spot, the youths attempted to gangrape the minor girl. However, the she managed to escape from the spot by kicking the youths.
After reaching her house, the girl informed her parents what had happened to her who in return filed a complaint at the Udala Police station demanding action against the accused persons.
Udala Police, based on the complaint, soon initiated an investigation and arrested the three youths who attempted to gangrape her. All of them will be forwarded to the court after their legal paper works, informed sources.
Police also detained the two minor boys, who had accompanied the girl to the forest, for interrogation. Further probe into the matter is underway.
The incident has surprised one and all in the locality as it has been reported just two days after such similar case was reported from the same police station area. Earlier on Friday a case was registered in which it was alleged that a youth had allegedly kidnapped his girlfriend while she was going for tuition classes and attempted to gangrape her along with four of his friends in Udala area of the district.
In course of investigation, police arrested a youth whom they identified as Prajnasu Das Babu and forwarded him to the court, however, other accused of the case are still on the run.
