Yet again, youth arrested with hidden camera just while entering Puri Srimandir!
A youth was arrested with a hidden camera while trying to enter Puri Srimandir today, he was detained at Singhdwar police station
Puri: Yet again a hidden camera was spotted just outside Puri Srimandir. A man was seen wearing glasses in which the camera was fitted. however he was caught before he could enter the temple.
According to reports, a security guard stopped a devotee before he could enter the temple through the western gates. The detained devotee has been identified as Pritish Pal from West Bengal. He has been detained at the Singhdwar police station.
Yesterday that is on August 4, a man was caught with spy camera while roaming around the ‘Kirtana Chakada’ area of the 12th century shrine.
On being informed, the Singhdwar police station sub-inspector and Jagannath Temple Police (JTP) initiated a probe into the matter and caught the man using a spy camera within the temple premises. They identified him as Vipul Patel of Gujarat.
Police also seized one spectacle fitted with hidden Camera and one smart mobile phone from his possessions.
Singhadwar Police launched a probe into the matter after registering a case against Patel under the Temple Act 30A, 4C against Patel. They are also trying to ascertain the motive of taking videos and images on the restricted area.
Similarly on July 29 youth was arrested along with a hidden camera inside Puri Srimandir. He had tricked the security and allegedly captured photos and videos of Srimandir.
According to information, the youth had allegedly installed lens in his spectacles. The lens worked like the camera and he captured photos and videos of Srimandir. The captured image and photos were then directly transferred to his mobile phones from the hidden camera that he had taken to Puri Srimandir.
The matter came to light, after police doubted suspicious movements of the youth near the Beharana Dwara (exit gate). On checking the youth, the camera was seized.
The Swatantra Shree Mandir Surakshya Bahini (SSMSV) then handed over the youth to the control room of the Singhadwara police station. Within 10 days, hidden cameras have been seized from three people.
