World University Games 2022: KITT University selected as Nodal Centre

Bhubaneswar: The city-based Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University has been selected as the nodal centre for the upcoming World University Games 2022.

According to reports, KIIT University was selected as the nodal centre for the selection of Indian students to represent the country at World University Games 2022 because of its excellent sporting infrastructure and facilities. Chandigarh University has been selected as the second nodal centre.

The sports board of the Association of Indian Universities selected both KIIT University and Chandigarh University during its 31st general council meeting at Amritsar-based Guru Nanak Dev University on Friday.

The selection of the students to represent the country at the World University Games 2022 will be done at these two zonal centres.

All the dignitaries who took part in the meeting hailed the efforts of KIIT University and its founder Dr Achyuta Samanta for the promotions of sports.

They thanked both KIIT University and Samanta for conducting the first edition of Khelo India University Games 2020 successfully.

Meanwhile, Dr Achyuta Samanta expressed his happiness over KIIT University’s selection as the Nodal Centre for the selection of Indian students to represent at World University Games 2022. He also thanked the members of the Association of Indian Universities for selecting the institute as the nodal centre.
