Winter onsets in mid-November in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The onset of winter is seen in Odisha in mid-November with the temperature today falling around two to four degree Celsius. The regional center of Indian Meteorological Department at Bhubaneswar forecast that the central Odisha will face cold at first and then other parts will feel the winter.

As many as 15 places in Odisha recorded a temperature of less than20 degree Celsius yesterday. The lowest mercury drop was seen in Daringbadi yesterday night with 15.5 degree Celsius being recorded.

On the other hand, the low pressure on Bay of Bengal will not have much impact on the winter onset in Odisha. The humidity continues due to the wind flowing from the south. Due to the southern winds, cloudy weather was seen in some parts of Odisha.
